H.Con.Res.40 - No North American Union!
Should the United States of America take steps to eliminate national sovereignty by building the "NAFTA Superhighway System" and entering into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada?
We say "No!"- No North American Union!
H.Con Res.40 was introduced by Representative Virgil H. Goode, Jr., (VA-5) on January 22, 2007 for himself and Representatives Zack Wamp, (TN-3); Walter B. Jones, Jr., (NC-3); Ron Paul, (TX-14); Cliff Stearns, (FL-6); John J. Duncan, Jr. (TN-2; Virginia Foxx, (NC-5), to express the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.

H.Con.Res.40 urges: (1) the United States not to engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System; (2) the United States not to allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership to implement regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and (3) the President to oppose these acts or any other proposals that threaten U.S. sovereignty.
