Pledge confusion

June 27, 2002

It's not just the judges of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals who are
confused about "God" in our public schools.  We are receiving a wide
range of conflicting responses.

Please read Congressman Ron Paul's concise statement on this issue.
Dr. Paul makes the important point that the First Amendment "...does
not bar religious expression in public settings...it expressly forbids
federal interference in the free expression of religion."

The judges of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals are guilty of just such
interference.  The last 50 years have seen the meaning of the First
Amendment turned upside down.

To more fully understand, please read all of Dr. Paul's statement, and
if you haven't read H.R. 4922 itself, please do so.
